Suzuki’s LAMS approved retro cruiser is finishing up in Australia.
WHY IS THIS SO?
Incoming ABS laws will eliminate existing non-ABS models from the market.
This means any model currently available must have ABS brakes fitted or it cannot be for sale as a brand new motorcycle in Australia.
WHAT ABOUT NEWLY INTRODUCED MODELS?
You’ll notice with all brands, street bikes new to the market have ABS braking engineered in.
WILL THE BOULEVARD S40 BE REPLACED WITH AN ABS MODEL?
No, well, not in the foreseeable future. Since you cannot simply ‘bolt on ABS braking’, an all new model will need to be designed, engineered, mass produced and sold for a fair price for this model to be available in the future.
RETRO STYLING AND LAMS APPROVED?
Yes indeed, the Boulevard S40 is all about simplicity for those after the easy life. And due to the single cylinder carburetted engine vs the weight of the bike overall, this suits both RE license riders and full riders alike.
