Available from mid-September 2018, Suzuki Australia have announced the 2019 V-Strom 250 is now ready to purchase at Motorcycles R Us.
With standard ABS braking, digital LCD dash, low 800mm seat height, 290mm front wave disc mated to Bosch anti-locking braking unit. Visually the round headlight is a signature look with that ‘flashlight’ look including the surround, plus the LED tail light and clear blinker lenses sign off the lighting side.
The journey’s are cost effective as the purchase, with a 500km range expected from 17L fuel in the right conditions. So that calculates to about 3.4L/100km, and if you fill up for $25 it makes for economical riding.
At 188kg wet, it’s not a heavy bike either. With the best power delivery from 20km/h to 90km/h, it’s the ideal country road bike for the tighter stuff where the speed limit and cruising is important.
Power is derived from a 248cc parallel twin, a motor also seen in the GSX250R and Inazuma 250. A proven motor, this SOHC 4-valve motor size and power means this V-Strom is Learner or LAMS Approved, ideal for RE license holders or L permit holders.
The LCD instrument cluster is a wealth of knowledge, with clear speed reading, rev counter, dual trip meters, gear in mesh indicator, fuel range, average fuel, fuel gauge, shift reminder (on/off), oil change due reminder and a digital clock. A 12v socket sits aside the dash, in a handy spot to plug in a GPS.
Aesthetically the Champion Yellow colour scheme is a tribute the DR-BIG days and other offroad hero bikes from Suzuki. A blue is also available, the signature Suzuki colour seen on the street range.
Priced to sell as soon as they land the special introductory price of $7190 ride away means this is immediately affordable, which includes 12 months registration, stamp duty, dealer charges, and a full tank of fuel from us to start you off. Warranty is factory unlimited kilometres for 12 months nationwide from Suzuki Australia.
