A full leather glove with a long cuff, seamless Armax™ protection at the knuckles, and a leather palm, suited for sporty riders in hot riding conditions.
The Protego consists of goat and cow leather, and the palm is reinforced with an extra layer to increase abrasion resistance. In addition, the palm features soft and impact absorbent EVA padding. Its panel between the thumb and back of the hand is perforated to increase breathability.
The entire glove is fitted with the safest possible form of protection: Armax™. This construction leaves out the need for seams in critical areas, basically eliminating the weakest link, and thus greatly increasing your safety. Armax™ is located at the palm, fingers, and knuckles.
A Finger Bridge connects the two outermost fingers of the hand. This sturdy construction prevents the pinkie (i.e. little finger) from dislocating or worse.
The 30° Buckle™ of the wrist strap is fitted at an ergonomically optimised angle of 30 degrees, which provides the perfect fit and optimal freedom of movement.
Heat-conductive fabric is fitted at the tips of the index fingers. Thanks to the Touch Tip, you’ll be able to operate touch screens without taking your gloves off.
The Protego is what we call riding gear!
RISC™ Armax™ fingers
SINCE 2021
External hard protection elements mounted on the fingers. Protecting them from impact and can also act as little sliding pads. Attached onto the fingers without creating large holes and using seams, keeping the leather solid as a rock.
RISC™ Armax™ knuckles
This patented design is developed with safety as main focus. A hard abrasion resistant cover is mounted on a tough solid base plate at the knuckle area. Protecting your knuckles from impact and it can act as a slider. The seamless design makes the knuckle part less subjected to wear and tear.
RISC™ Armax™ palm
Ergomically shaped, the palm protector acts as a sliding pad, but also spreads the force of impact, minimizing injury of the scaphoid bone. Our Armax™ palm protector is attached to the glove with just two small holes and no seams. This way the leather stays more intact, keeping the glove as strong as possible.
30° Buckle™
SINCE 2007
Aside from a closure at the cuff, long-cuffed gloves often also have a strap at the wrist. This strap is placed horizontally in most cases, which does tighten the glove, but also limits your wrist’s freedom of movement.
This complaint is easily solved by our 30° Buckle™, which enables the wrist and hand to move more freely. Thanks to the difference in placement of the buckle, freedom of movement and overall comfort are raised.
EVA palm
EVA foam excels in absorbing vibrations and impact forces. It is also characterised by its good thermal insulation as well as low water-absorption.
Other advantages are its softness, non-toxicity, stress-crack resistance and resistance to ultraviolet radiation which makes EVA suitable for many purposes.
FINGER BRIDGE
Extra reinforced leather bridge between the two outermost fingers of the hand to prevent the little finger from snapping away in case of a crash.
Touch Tip
The construction features a designated compartment on the inside that enables our RISC back protector to be placed.
