Ducati has not held back on their Australian market best selling model, the Panigale V4. A host of engine, aerodynamic, ergonomic, chassis and electronic updates result in the best supersport available now even better. For those who demand perfection, and then some.

Summary of MY22 updates and changes

  • Tailpipe with larger outlet (+18%) with reduced back pressure
  • New engine calibration
  • +1.5 hp of peak power increasing
  • New oil pump
  • New oil circuit set-up
  • SBK gearbox (longer 1st, 2nd, 6th gears)
  • Gearbox 1st = 11.6%, 2nd = 5.6%, 6th = 1.8%
  • Taller 6th + more top end horsepower = 5km/h higher top speed
  • Retuned electronics to match the revised gearbox ratios
  • New wings with new main wing including flap and profile split
  • Wing has 40% more area and 50% thicker
  • Wing downforce now 30 kg at 300 km/h
  • New upper and lower fairings with air oulets
  • Side vents for racing SBK use and comply with regulations
  • Under fairing vents are for road use and rider comfort
  • New vent for cooling of Ducati Quickshifter under heavy track use conditions
  • New fuel tank shape for better rider support while leaning
  • New tank shape also increased fuel capacity by 1 litre to 17 litres
  • Tank shape at rider’s legs now flatter for traction

  • Seat height rises +15 mm to 850 mm due to chassis and seat changes

    • Full for most extreme without limitation for maximum low gear thrusts
    • High for torque map management independently gear by gear
    • Medium for the same as High in terms of control regulation
    • Low limits power to 150 hp, ideal for road riding yet still sporty
  • Dashboard evolution
    • Different colourways attribution
    • Introduction of Info Mode (called Track EVO)
    • Track EVO offers completely different graphics, for track use only
    • Gear change signal is now a green LED warning light instead of within the display
    • Over rev remains the red LED warning light
    • Vehicle control interventions by a amber portion flashing yellow within the display

Third Evolution

This is the third evolution step of the model, with the Panigale aiming to remain at the top of the superbike segment. Both amateur and professional riders can access a world of thrills.

This results in the Panigale V4 even more ‘track focussed’ in its orientation.

ENGINE
Reward-rotating, twin-pulse, 90°V4, four valves per cylinder with Desmodromic timing system. 2-step variable length intakes with 2-injectors per cylinder, 4-2-1-2 exhaust with under-engine silencers. Rear cylinder bank deactivation.

CHASSIS
“Front Frame” with Ducati Corse specs is bolted to the engine that works as a structural and stressed element of the chassis; Magnesium forged front sub-frame, aluminium rear sub-frame. Marchesini aluminium forged wheels on V4 S.

SUSPENSION
MotoGP rear suspension linkage with single swingarm. For V4 S, Öhlins NPX25/30 pressurised fork and Öhlins TTX36 mono-shock; event-based damping adjustment managed by Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 system. Pivot position +4mm.

RIDER ASSISTANCE
Ducati electronic riding controls based on 6-axis IMU sensor. Cornering ABS EVO, DTC EVO3 ; DWC EVO; DQS up/down EVO2, DSC, DPL, EBC EVO, DES EVO. Rear cylinder deactivation function. Lithium-ion battery on V4 S.
